What's wrong with someone speaking about Islamic terrorism at the Herbert Tarr Institute? ("The Herbert Tarr North Shore Institute for Adult Jewish Education"--isn't Islamic terrorism relevant?)
There's nothing wrong with John Loftus lecturing at Herbert Tarr. What is wrong is advertising all the apikorsim "rabbis" who are speaking there alongside Rabbi Block--there's no reason for Roslyn Synagogue members to be encouraged to hear anti-Torah ideologies. Rather than complaining about Loftus' presence, the real complaint should be about the involvement of non-Orthodox clergy.
Thanks to all you Liberal Jews for voting for a President who's so pro-Israel, and who wants to help American Jews keep their money (to spend on tzedaka and learning Torah) rather than having it forcibly taken by the government and given to others. Yishar koach. Barf.
"Moftus, Roftus, whatever his name is"

ReplyDeleteKudos to Rabbi Block for keeping politics out of this latest (post-election) shabbat drashot.
ReplyDeleteChabad does a great service by educating Jews as to the importance of the chanukah holiday and menorah lighting. Let's not bash them this year.
